What do we do at the Audit Support Center?
External confirmations
Data&Analytics
Reporting and XML
Retail tests
The external confirmations procedure is a mandatory procedure performed by the ASC team for corporate audit and financial institution audit teams. It is a procedure related to the administration of confirmations of banking, legal related and non-related parties. The person in charge of this procedure is responsible for preparing and sending out letters to third parties, and then monitoring the flow of responses and communicating with the audit team – this verifies that the values indicated in the client’s books are correct by independently sending confirmations to their entities with which they have transactions.
In the process of preparing for an audit, we also process and analyze data. We perform conversions of various files into a format that is readable by the teams (i.e., into an Excel table), in addition to testing on the accounting logs, which helps the audit teams identify any irregularities in the electronic accounting log.
Verifying the accuracy of the company’s financial statements is one of the key processes. Among other things, the specialist associated with reporting is responsible for formatting the financial statements, verifying the internal consistency of the statements, and reconciling the amounts for audit documentation. Each financial statement prepared by the client based on the Accounting Law must be generated in a special xml format, which is why we have specialists on our team dedicated to technically verifying the correctness of these files and fixing any errors.
Another important process in our work is retail testing – these are various types of detailed tests, either automatic or manual. The procedure involves verifying a population selected from electronic statements to source documentation provided by the customer.

Participants about the program

In 2017, I was encouraged to apply to ASC by a colleague who had joined the rapidly growing department a few months earlier, which at the time had a dozen employees (we are currently over 140). I started from the position of Specialist in the planning of work in international audit support teams. Currently, I work as a Business Support Supervisor. This is a one-person position that allows me to develop my skills in managing and working with people. In addition to my day-to-day work with ASC, I also provide training and am responsible for recruiting for our team. I value working in small operational teams – this allows us to function in a familiar and well-liked environment. I often hear from younger colleagues that the atmosphere at ASC is unique.
Katarzyna, Business Support Supervisor, Audit Support Center

I joined ASC in 2020 starting as an Invoicing Specialist. I had some experience in accounting and wanted to try my hand at KPMG, but not necessarily in accounting. After a year of working there, I stayed at ASC, but changed teams and dealt with process issues focused on work related to audit research. I had the opportunity to work in several teams including the external confirmation team, reporting and eventually ended up in the contracts team, where I have been Team Leader for less than a year. Working at ASC gives you the opportunity to get to know auditing from behind the scenes, i.e. what happens before the audit and after the audit. At ASC, depending on the stage of audit work, you can develop both interpersonal and analytical skills. ASC is an ideal place for people who are not fond of monotony at work and like challenges.
